I began sewing at the early age of 10. My mother used to make my sisters and my clothes when times were simpler. After sitting and watching her sew, I would gather up the left over fabric and beg for a chance to use the machine. My mother was much too busy to show me at the time, as she was also making my ballet outfits. So, taking the left over fabric mimicking what I saw my mother do on the sewing machine, I began hand sewing doll clothes and doll bedding for my Barbie dolls.
Such humble beginnings have developed into a passion to sew and to teach others to sew. I truly enjoyed my time teaching sewing/fashion design classes at Broward College. That experience prompted my desire to teach private lessons in my home. The love I have for sewing is translated into the classes I teach, the alterations I complete and the custom creations I produce every time I sit at my machine(s).
